Mumbai – the city of dreams is alert! Why? Because at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, leakage has been observed from the central dome of the railway station but the source of the leakage is yet a mystery. To identify the source of the leakage the central railway will need assistance from the Mumbai police.
They need permission from the Mumbai police to use a drone in order to record the central dome so that they can easily identify the part from where the leakage has been coming from and they can fix it as soon as possible.
A central officer who is serving at the senior position at present told to sources that they have been observing a seepage problem in the central dome since few years but never thought that it will take this type of turn and the project of renovating of the entire building that was started in the year 2016 is almost complete but we failed in solving the leakage problem.
He also stated that “the problem has been observed during the monsoon season and this year particularly we have observed leakage from two to three places from the central dome of the structure”.
The CSMT Building was built in the year 1878 and since then it took 10 years to get completed. This place is also known as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and people from far places visit CSMT to enjoy the infrastructure of the railway station. Though the central dome of the building is the main attraction, it is now leaking which needs to be fixed.
We all are aware of the Mumbai rains and how cruel it is, but at the same time, it is as beautiful as heaven. Mumbai ki barish nai dekhi to kya barish dekhi. We hope that the problem will be fixed soon and Mumbai police will grant permission to use drone.
