First Confirmed Cases of Bird Flu Found in Mumbai and Thane

The very first confirmed case of Bird Flu has been registered in Mumbai and Thane after few samples of dead birds and crows tested positive for avian influenza. With the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, This has been a big blow to the people of India. The scare of Bird Flue has increased in India and people are actually getting worried about one more virus spreading quickly.

First Confirmed Cases of Bird Flu Found in Mumbai and Thane

The officials said that after collection few samples of crows that dies in Thane and Chembur have tested positive. They further said that steps are being taken to prevent the spread of the flu in the city. Around 13 crows were found dead in Thane and 11 in Mumbai’s Chembur area.

The Officials have set up a control room and have asked all the people to report any case of bird deaths if found in the city. Earlier it was reported that around 800 chickens have died in Parbhani due to bird flu.

Apart from Maharashtra, Other states including Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Utter Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana have been hit by avian influenza.

Uddhav Thackeray has called an urgent meeting to discuss the situation of bird flu in the state.
