Mark Ronson who is an Academy award-winning artist and producer has released the world’s first-ever interactive AR music video on Instagram stories. He teamed up with Sony Music to create the world’s first purpose-designed, interactive music video using real-time AR effects. The name of the song is ‘Pieces of Us’ and it is a part of the ‘Late Night Feelings’ album. Moreover, the track also features musician King Princess.

In a recent press release, Sony Music has revealed that the video is completely shot using smartphones. The music video will be available on Mark Ronson and King Princess’ Instagram account in the form of a number of stories. Moreover, there will also be a few poles for the fans and they can also use the AR filters on their own stories. Also, the video will appear in consecutive 24-hour cycles. With the enormous rise in popularity of Instagram stories, this kind of idea to make a music video for a social media platform is pretty understandable. This kind of music videos which also gives the fans the ability to engage will rise the hype even more.
If you see the cost of video production it can be far less then a normal music video of this type would cost. Instead of costly cameras, only smartphones were used here. Again, the video was completely produced with the spark AR. There was no post-production work as well. So the video production cost was probably much lower than normal music videos.
