There were a few rumors that TikTok owner (parent company) ByteDance was developing their smartphone. The news gained hype quick at that time. However, a lot of people thought this to be another hoax. But now, ByteDance has officially announced the smartphone in China bringing curtains on all the rumors and confusions. The smartphone will be marketed under the Smartisan brand and it will be called Jianguo Pro 3. In case if you are wondering, it looks like Jianguo translates to ‘Nut’ in English.

From the specification of the phone, it looks to be pretty high end. The software is also tweaked and the company hopes it will attract future TikTok stars. One will be able to directly open the TikTok app with a swipe from the lock screen. There will also be selfie lighting so that you can shoot TikTok videos even in the dark.

Coming to the specs, the phone comes with 6.39-inch FHD+ (2280 x 1080) AMOLED display. The display also has a 100 percent NTSC color Gamut and DC Dimming. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855+ Soc. Moreover, it comes with 8/12GB of LPDDR4x RAM. You’ll also have 128/256GB of UFS 3.0 storage.

The smartphone gets all the juice from a 4000 mAh battery. It also supports Quick Charge 4+. Furthermore, there is an in-display fingerprint scanner for security. The device runs on Smartisian OS 3.0 which is a heavily customized version of Android 9.0 Pie.

Coming to the camera part, the device gets a quad-camera setup at the back. There is a 48 MP primary sensor along with a 13 MP ultra-wide-angle camera. Other than that there is an 8 MP telephoto lens with 2X optical zoom. And finally, there is a 5 MP macro sensor. In the front, there is a 20 MP sensor for selfies and clear TikTok videos.

Pricing and Availability

The Smartisan Jianguo Pro 3 is priced at 2,899 yuan (roughly, Rs. 29,000) for the 8GB+128GB version. Whereas, the 12GB+256GB variant costs 3,599 yuan (around Rs. 36,000). The device will be available in three color options: Black, White, and Green starting from Monday, November 4th. Till now, there’s no news about the launch of the device in India.
