Spotify is one of the best music streaming apps available globally. The app already has some neat features like live lyrics and also has a very clean UI. However, the developers of Spotify are constantly adding new features to keep the app fresh. The company has today published that users will be now available to share their favorite music with their friends using Facebook stories.
Share Music from Spotify on Facebook Stories
The same feature for Instagram is already available for a year now. Once shared by a user their followers and friends will be able to listen to a preview of 15 seconds of the song. However, after 15 seconds there will be a ‘play on Spotify’ button to listen the full song.
This new feature will help the musicians as well as the music producers. The company says it is “a more powerful way to connect with fans”. As per them, the new feature will make it easier for creators to promote their songs, playlists, albums, podcasts and more. Here is what they said,
Taking advantage of our sharing features helps to get your tunes to more people’s ears. It will also encourage your fans to interact with you and your music and help spread the love through their own Facebook Stories.
To share a song on Facebook, first play a song using Spotify and then tap on the share button. From the new menu now select Facebook. “Now, when viewers watch your Story, they’ll be able to listen to a 15-second preview of it — instantly — and they can tap ‘Play on Spotify’ if they want to hear more” said the music streaming company in a blog post.
Again, this feature was first rolled out for Instagram. Back then, Spotify had promised that they would launch the same feature for Facebook stories in a couple of months. However, it took them more than a year to finally roll out this feature. Let us know in the comments what do you think about this new feature.
